On October 23, 2024, Burna Boy captivated a packed crowd at the Peacock Centre in Los Angeles with a stunning performance of his hit singles.
The two-day concert, titled Headliners Only, featured a special collaboration with American-Senegalese music icon Akon. During the event, Burna Boy thrilled fans by previewing an unreleased track from his upcoming album, leaving the audience eagerly anticipating more.
This marks the second preview from his next album, following the earlier teaser of his song Empty Chairs. His highly anticipated album is set for release in 2025.
2024 has been a milestone year for Burna Boy. In February, he made history as the first African artist to perform at the Grammys main ceremony. At the 66th Grammy Awards, the Port-Harcourt-born star also became the first Nigerian to earn a nomination as a lead artist outside of the Global categories.
So far, Burna Boy has released just one single in 2024, Higher, accompanied by an emotionally resonant music video set in his hometown. The track continued his streak of chart-topping hits, spending several weeks on the TurnTable Top 100.
In addition to his own music, Burna Boy has made notable guest appearances this year. His contribution to TiTom and Yuppe’s Twala Bam helped the track soar to the top of the charts, and he also delivered a standout performance on Coldplay’s We Pray alongside Little Simz.
