Nigerian Idol Season 10 winner Purp has been crowned after an electrifying finale that kept millions of viewers glued to their screens. Making history as the first female contestant to claim the crown since 2014, Purp edged out fellow finalist Raymu in a gripping showdown that showcased raw talent, emotion, and stage mastery.

Hosted by celebrated media personality IK Osakioduwa, the grand finale was more than a contest, it was a full-scale musical celebration, complete with powerhouse performances, surprise guest appearances, and moving reflections on the contestants’ journeys. Judges Omawumi, Ric Hassani, and Iyanya, alongside guest judge 9ice, praised both finalists for their remarkable growth and unwavering commitment to their craft.

For emerging as the Nigerian Idol Season 10 winner, Purp walks away with an impressive prize package: a brand-new SUV, a ₦30 million cash prize, a DStv Explora decoder with a one-year premium subscription, and a coveted music deal that could launch her into stardom.

In an emotional victory speech that resonated across social media, Purp shared:

“Thank you so much, Nigeria. I’m grateful and honoured for this moment. Thank you for every vote and every bit of support. This is just the beginning, I can’t wait to bring you all more music!”

This year’s Nigerian Idol journey kicked off with thousands of hopefuls auditioning online, narrowing down to a talented Top 10: Mikki, Raymu, Ellacentric, Kristopher, Sally, Boss Lady, Brammy, Jkenova, Lawrence, and Purp. Week after week, these contestants battled on stage, bringing powerful vocals and captivating performances that made elimination rounds increasingly tough.

The judging criteria focused on vocal strength, stage presence, originality, and audience connection, but it was ultimately the fans’ votes that crowned the Nigerian Idol Season 10 winner.

Nigerian Idol has become more than a music contest; it’s a platform shaping Nigeria’s next generation of stars. From past winners like Mercy Chinwo, Kingdom Kroseide, and Progress to now Purp, the show continues to spotlight authentic Nigerian talent destined for national and global recognition.

As the curtain falls on this landmark season, the buzz online is undeniable. Fans celebrate not only Purp’s victory but also the diversity and energy that the contestants brought to the stage. Industry watchers predict big things for Purp, whose unique voice and charisma have already set her apart.

The grand finale also delivered moments to remember beyond the competition itself, live performances from past idols, celebrity appearances, and heartfelt reflections that underscored the transformative journey each contestant experienced.

With Nigerian Idol Season 10 wrapped, all eyes now turn to Purp’s next steps. Will she drop her debut single soon? How will she use her platform as the Nigerian Idol Season 10 winner? Fans and critics alike eagerly await what’s next.

In a show known for uncovering raw talent and giving it a national spotlight, Purp’s win is a testament to authenticity, perseverance, and the power of connecting deeply with an audience. From the first audition to the final note, her journey has captured hearts, and her story is only just beginning.
