What happens in Fallout New Vegas was supposed to stay there — or so fans believed. Fifteen years later, Fallout season 2 is making a grand return to New Vegas. To amp up excitement among post-apocalyptic enthusiasts, behind-the-scenes set images showcasing the iconic sign and storefronts have now been unveiled.
The Fallout TV series, which was developed by Graham Wagner and Geneva Robertson-Dworet for Amazon Prime Video and debuted in April 2023, is set two hundred years after the end of the world and is based on Bethesda’s popular post-role-playing video game franchise of the same name.
Starring Arcane and Yellowjackets actor Ella Purnell, Aaron Moten, Kyle MacLachlan, Moisés Arias, Xelia Mendes-Jones, and Walton Goggins, Amazon’s Fallout reached a huge milestone with its first season, accumulating 100 million viewers worldwide and 65 million viewers in its first 16 days of release. Now, with more images having been unearthed of season 2’s set, it feels as though fans will get to explore quite a bit of the beloved Novac location this time around.

On Reddit’s Fallout TV series thread, a fan of the show posted a host of behind-the-scenes images of the New Vegas sign to offer other fans a look at the beloved location. User ericalm_ explained that they believe the construction of the set seemed to have been completed, and the Fallout team looks like they are gearing up to start shooting soon. As well as a good look at the New Vegas sign, which fans of the game will know is based on the real-world “Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas” sign and located in the Mojave Wasteland, a green screen and other storefronts are visible.
In the comments section of the post, the behind-the-scenes images had a lot of fans of the series freaking out with excitement. One Fallout lover exclaimed, “This is going to be an amazing television experience,” while another said, “I feel emotional looking at these”. However, one eagle-eyed fan seemed to spot something in the images that many had bypassed. It seems as though there’s a glimpse of a securitron shell in image 3. For those who might not know, The Securitron is a security robot that guards the Strip and can be found there alongside the Lucky 38 casino and Big MT in Fallout: New Vegas.
The filming of the second season of Fallout had been delayed due to the horrific outbreak of wildfires in Southern California, which was set to begin on January 8 but had to then be pushed back for security and safety measures. Walton Goggins also recently revealed that he has begun filming for Season 2 of Fallout, alongside Home Alone star, Macaulay Culkin and MCU star, Kumail Nanjiani, who have both joined the show, although their roles haven’t been disclosed as yet.
Although a release date has not yet been set, Fallout season 2 is anticipated to debut in early 2026.
