Napoli is dealing with a challenging situation as Victor Osimhen, the Super Eagles forward, has chosen to reject a transfer to Manchester United.
Despite United’s interest, Victor Osimhen has decided to stay with Galatasaray for the duration of the season, according to La Repubblica.
Osimhen joined Galatasaray on loan from Napoli last September, and Napoli had anticipated generating €81 million from his potential sale this month, owing to a break-up clause in his contract.
However, the 26-year-old has communicated to Napoli’s director, Giovanni Manna, his desire to continue his journey with Galatasaray until the season ends.
This decision has understandably frustrated Napoli’s president, Aurelio De Laurentiis, who perceives it as yet another hurdle in managing Osimhen’s situation.
In a different turn of events, Chelsea have officially announced the permanent transfer of academy goalkeeper Kai Crampton to Bournemouth. This news was shared through a statement on Chelsea’s website.
Crampton, who joined Chelsea at the Under-8 level, has made considerable progress through the club’s development system and played a key role in the Under-18 team that won the Premier League South title during the 2023/24 season.
He made four league and cup appearances this season and briefly loaned himself to Hampton & Richmond of the National League South.
