The upcoming Path of Exile 2 update will introduce a long-awaited quality-of-life feature, allowing players to adjust font size when using a controller. Grinding Gear Games confirmed that the patch, set to launch by the end of the week, will also include various improvements and bug fixes.
Path of Exile 2 has undergone multiple updates since its successful but challenging early access debut in December, and GGG has been diligently addressing player complaints.
In just a couple of months, PoE 2 has already changed a lot, introducing everything from major bug fixes and quality-of-life features to significant content changes. January’s patch added four new map areas, new monsters, and many adjustments to certain boss encounters. Now, listening to players’ feedback, GGG is adding a new setting that will make the game more enjoyable for many players.
Once Path of Exile 2 patch 0.1.1c hits the game by the end of this week, players will be able to increase the font size in “various locations.” This has been a major request from the community, as the current size makes it hard to read, with some claiming the game is almost impossible to play on console.
The patch notes don’t specify exactly what these locations will be, but it’s a sign that Path of Exile 2 is on the right track as 2025 unfolds. Players using a controller will also notice an improvement in item navigation, enhancing the experience.
Just like the previous Path of Exile 2 update, patch 0.1.1c brings in new features that inch the game closer to where GGG wants it to be. The Twisted Domain and Crux of Nothingness arenas, along with the Olroth, Origin of the Fall boss fight, will now have up to five respawn attempts based on the game’s difficulty. Strongboxes now feature minimap icons, and League icons can now be seen even if players move far away from them.
A common complaint among Path of Exile 2 players has been the lack of checkpoints available throughout the map. Patch 0.1.1c addresses this issue by not only introducing more checkpoints in several areas of the maps but also improving the placement of some existing ones, making it easier for players when moving around certain locations.
Last but not least, the update will rectify some bugs, like the one that prevents players from killing foes using Damage over Time and visual issues where parts of the Atlas won’t properly render. With this upcoming patch, GGG continues its early access journey to bring Path of Exile 2 closer to its full release.
